First, we apply an ice pack to the treatment area to numb the skin. Using a fine needle, we begin to inject Kybella® into the area under the chin in a grid pattern, for an even distribution. The procedure takes less than 30 minutes.

Your results will be visible in about six weeks. At that time if you decide that you want additional treatment to reduce more fat, a subsequent treatment can then be performed. Most people receive two or three treatments of Kybella® at six-week intervals, but some patients may need up to six treatments for best results.

Recovering from Kybella® Injections

You can resume all activities, including work, as soon as your injections have been completed. For most patients, downtime is minimal and occurs most commonly after the first treatment session. We can advise you on how to minimize these side effects.

Some patients will experience minor swelling and bruising for approximately seven days.
